The focus of Jacksonville Port Ministries is divided into three main areas. The first, begun in the early 1970's, ministers to the international Seafarers that work on the ships that visit the main Marine terminals at Blount Island and Talleyrand. This ministry has expanded to include all of the support personnel and employees who keep the Jacksonville ports operating. The second area of focus is the Jacksonville International Airport, which is also an integral part of the Jacksonville Port Authority. This ministry continues to grow as the needs also grow. The third area, is ministry to the truckers who transport the cargo entering our ports throughout the United States of America.

Jacksonville Port Ministries Operates two Ministry Centers on the port Terminals of Blount Island and Talleyrand. The latter center was recently named the Charles H. Lawhon Ministry Center in honor of the founder of this ministry, who passed away in 1999. We also have a chapel in the terminal at the Jacksonville International Airport.
